Get your link** Click **Invite friends** in the sidebar, or go to [app.searchable.com/referral](https://app.searchable.com/referral). You can also search "referral" in the command palette (**⌘K**). Your unique link, stats, and payout settings all live on this page. **2. Share it** Send your link to people and businesses who don't use Searchable yet. See [Where you can share your link](#where-you-can-share-your-link) for what's allowed. **3. They sign up and subscribe** Your friend creates a new Searchable account within 30 days of clicking your link, then starts a paid plan. Their discount is applied automatically at checkout. **4. You get paid** Once their first payment has cleared a 30-day holding period, your reward becomes payable. For example, if your friend picks the Pro plan at \$125/month, they pay \$87.50/month and you earn \$17.50/month, or \$105 over six months. After six months, your friend's subscription moves to the standard price. > [!NOTE] > > The referral discount can't be combined with other promotions or custom pricing. Existing customers can't apply it to a current or past subscription. ## Who can take part **To refer someone, you need to:** * Have an active, paid Searchable subscription (trials don't qualify) * Be 18 or older * Live in a country supported by Dub, our payout partner **Your friend needs to:** * Be new to Searchable. People who already have an account, have had a trial, or are already in touch with our team don't qualify. * Sign up through your link and start a paid plan * Stay subscribed for at least 30 days after their first payment You can't refer yourself, your own company, or accounts you control. ## Getting paid Rewards are tracked and paid through **Dub**, which powers the referral page in Searchable. Connect a payout method from the referral page: * **Bank transfer** via Stripe Express, paid in your local currency * **PayPal** * **USDC** to a crypto wallet (a transaction fee may apply) Rewards are calculated in USD and paid automatically once your balance reaches **\$20**. Smaller balances roll over to the next month. > [!WARNING] > > If your friend gets a refund, cancels, or charges back during the 30-day holding period, the reward for that referral is removed from your balance. You're responsible for any taxes on your rewards. Dub may ask for tax forms (such as a W-9 or W-8) when you set up payouts. ## Where you can share your link **Allowed:** * Your own website or blog * Videos, podcasts, newsletters, and other content you create * Organic social media posts * Emails and direct messages to people who've opted in to hear from you **Not allowed:** * Paid ads of any kind, including bidding on "Searchable" as a keyword * Coupon, deal, or cashback sites * Spam, bulk unsolicited messages, or automated outreach * Shortening or masking your link in a way that hides where it goes If you share your link publicly, say that you may earn a reward. Something like: *"I may earn a reward if you sign up for Searchable using my link."* ## Referral program vs. affiliate program The referral program is built for Searchable customers recommending Searchable to people they know. If you're a consultant, creator, or agency who wants to promote Searchable to an audience or client base, our [affiliate program](https://www.searchable.com/affiliates) is the better fit. ## FAQ > **My friend signed up but isn't showing in my referrals** > > Referrals are tracked with a cookie when your friend clicks your link. A referral may not be recorded if: > > * They created their account more than 30 days after clicking your link > * They clicked someone else's referral link after yours (the last link clicked gets the credit) > * They signed up without clicking your link first, or in a different browser > * An ad blocker or privacy setting blocked tracking > * They already had a Searchable account, trial, or conversation with our team > **My friend is on a trial. When does the referral count?** > > When they start a paid plan. Trials don't earn a reward on their own. Your reward becomes payable 30 days after their first payment. > **When will I get paid?** > > Each reward is held for 30 days after your friend's payment, then paid in the next monthly payout once your balance is \$20 or more. > **What happens if my friend cancels?** > > You earn rewards for each month they pay, up to six months. If they cancel, rewards stop. If they cancel or get a refund within the first 30 days, that reward is reversed. > **Do I keep earning if I cancel my own subscription?** > > Yes. You keep earning for each month your friend stays subscribed, up to six months from their first payment. > **I changed the email on my Searchable account** > > Your referral account doesn't update automatically.
