Setup your account

You can set up your account by following this link. You’ll choose a plan, then complete a simple onboarding form. Before your first visibility report runs, we’ll show you the prompts we’ve suggested for your brand so you can review them. Once you confirm, your first domain is ready to go! To complete the setup quickly and easily, make sure you’ve got this information on hand:
  • Your details - name, email that you have access to
  • Your brand name, and any other names or spellings it goes by
  • Your brand’s reach - global, primary market + international reach, nationwide, regional, or local
  • Your primary location and language
  • Your target website (e.g. yourwebsite.com) that you want to analyse
  • 3 of your main competitors (you can add up to 5)
Prompts are the questions we ask AI engines on your behalf. You can add, edit, or remove them at any time.

Find your way around

After you sign in, you’ll land on the Searchable Agent - an AI assistant that can answer questions about your data. Try asking “What is ChatGPT getting wrong about my brand?” To make setup easy, open Getting Started from the progress card in your sidebar. It’s a short checklist that walks you through the essentials:
  1. Watch a quick overview
  2. Review your visibility scores
  3. Build your Knowledge Base
  4. Ask the AI agent
  5. Connect Google Search Console
  6. Invite team members
The sections below walk you through the key ones.

See your AI visibility

This is the heart of Searchable: how your brand shows up when people ask AI engines questions about your industry. We run your prompts through the AI engines on your plan on a regular schedule (daily on most plans) and show you the results in Analytics → AEO Insights.

Key Tabs to Start With

  • Visibility: Your share of voice compared to competitors, where you rank, and your average position when you’re mentioned
  • Mentions & Citations: Every time your brand was named in an AI answer, and the sources cited alongside it
  • Sentiment: How AI answers describe your brand, and where competitors are praised instead
  • Sources: Which websites AI engines rely on when answering questions in your space
Use the filters at the top to narrow by date, AI engine, topic, or competitor. The Branded / Unbranded filter shows how you perform when people don’t mention you by name, which is often the more honest picture.
To track more questions, go to Prompts → Your Prompts. Adding prompts uses your plan’s prompt allowance. Learn more in Working with Prompts.

Set up your Knowledge Base

Knowledge Base is where you tell Searchable who your brand is, who you compete with, and how you want your content to sound. It feeds your visibility reports, your prompts, and the Searchable Agent, so it’s worth a few minutes early on. Open it from Knowledge Base at the bottom of your sidebar.

Brand Profile

Your brand’s identity. Click Auto-detect and we’ll draft a description of your brand from your website, which you can then edit.
Add any other names your brand goes by under Brand naming. If AI engines refer to you by a shorter name or a different spelling and it isn’t listed, those mentions may not be counted.

Competitors

The brands you’re measured against in AI search. We will automatically suggest some, and also surface companies that appear alongside you in AI answers. You can always amend the list.

Topics

Topics group your prompts, so you can filter your analytics by the areas that matter most to your business.

Tone / Writing Style

Your brand’s voice is unique, so let’s make sure that is reflected in your content. Set the voice, formatting, and phrases to avoid.

Memory

Long-term context about your brand and strategy that the Searchable Agent reads before every response.

E-E-A-T

Authors, credentials, and trust signals that power schema markup and author attribution in your content.
Always double-check generated content before publishing. AI can make mistakes.

Run your first audit

Searchable’s audit system provides comprehensive analysis of your site’s SEO and AEO performance. As soon as you set up your domain, Searchable will automatically fetch the pages of your website using your sitemap. You’ll be able to see the full list of URLs in the On Page → Site Health section of the platform. To run an audit, select the pages you want, then click the Audit button. Before anything runs, you’ll see a confirmation showing how many pages will be audited and how many audit credits you have left. Each page uses one audit credit from your monthly allowance.
Connecting your Google Analytics 4 will allow you to sort by Visitors and audit your highest-traffic pages first.

Site Audit Features

Technical SEO

Checks meta tags, headings, canonical tags, structured data, HTTPS, broken links, social tags, and accessibility

Page Speed

Page speed based on real visitor data from Chrome, plus page size

Content Quality

Checks length, structure, TL;DR summaries, authorship, dates, FAQs, and trust signals

AEO Readiness

Understanding Your Results

Your audit results are organized into several key areas:
  • Site Health Score: An overall score for your site, with separate Technical and AEO scores
  • Issues: Every problem found across your site, grouped into Technical, Content, and AEO tabs and ranked by severity. Find them in On Page → Issues
  • Page Details: Open any page for a checklist of fixes. You can ask the Agent to explain an issue, or copy a ready-made fix to hand to your developer
Start with fixing critical issues first, as they have the biggest impact on your overall performance.
